Notes from the Gals

  • Order pancakes ahead of time from your local breakfast spot to make this party even easier! Pick up the morning before the party and keep warm in the oven until you are ready to serve.

  • Buy pre-cut fruit and assemble skewers the night before. Same with the yogurt parfaits. Assemble the yogurt and fruit, cover and store overnight in the refrigerator. Right before serving, sprinkle with granola.

  • We picked up assorted bagels from Costco the day before. Your local bagel shop is another great option for bulk bagels.

The DRINKS

Stock your cooler and bar with easy-to-grab drink options for kids and adults. From fruit juices and milk to sparkling water and iced lattes, everyone will have their morning beverage of choice. The hot coffee bar is a must have for a morning birthday party. And what would a birthday party be without a few celebratory drinks for the adults. Grab a few bottles of prosecco and assorted fruit juices for a make-your-own mimosa bar. Use disposable coffee cups and champagne flutes to avoid glassware with kids running around, plus it makes clean up a breeze!

The Feel

This party is all about the pancakes and pajamas! The party invite encouraged both kids and adults to wear pajamas so everyone came in theme (added bonus that everyone was very comfortable!). We also set a kid-sized table for breakfast complete with on-theme coloring sheets to keep kids entertained in between bites of pancakes.

Coloring Sheets

These customizable and downloadable Etsy coloring sheets doubled as placemats for the kids’ table.

Party Favors

Send kids home with a new book that fits the theme of the party, such as Pancakes! Pancakes! and Pancakes in Pajamas.

It’s a PJ Party

Encourage your guests - both kids and adults - to wear their favorite pajamas. Create a DIY photo backdrop for families to snap a pic in their matching pajamas.

Donut Cake

Ditch the traditional birthday cake and order a cake made from mini donuts for this breakfast-themed party.
