Your Guide to A

SPRINGTIME TEA PARTY

The Theme

A celebration of all things girly! We raised a glass (or should we say teacup) to our wonderful co-founder Margherita to sprinkle her baby girl #2. This traditional afternoon tea soiree makes a beautiful baby or bridal shower, or even a special birthday celebration for that favorite gal in your life.

The Look

Pinks, florals and neutral accents of my! We put a fresh twist on your traditional afternoon tea with chic pink hues, sophisticated glassware and modern paper goods. The tables were a mix and match of something new, something old and something rented (hello sister company Hinsdale Table! For our local Chicago gals, be sure to check out Hinsdale Table for all your luxury tablescape rental needs.)

The Menu

This traditional afternoon tea menu is all about the quintessential bite size goodies! We like to refer to the menu as the Three S’s: savories, scones and sweets. From classic tea sandwiches to mouthwatering tarts and cakes, each bite pairs perfectly with your favorite hot tea.

First Tier: Savories

Second Tier: Scones

Third Tier: Sweets

Drinks

Can’t forget about the star of the show – the tea! We provided an assorted selection of popular tea flavors – mint, lavender chamomile, green, English and lemon – for our guests to choose from. And completed the set up with honey and milk so guests can customize their hot tea to their liking.

What’s an afternoon tea without a little bit of bubbly?! We completed our festive fete with a self-serve bar full of white wines, rose, bubbles and plenty of non-alcoholic options for our moms-to-be.

Notes from the Gals

  • Our perfect menu is a mix of store bought, homemade and catered. Many local grocery, bakeries and specialty stores have so many ready-made bite-size treats.

  • We made the tea sandwiches earlier in the morning and stored them in airtight containers in the refrigerator. It made for easy and quick serving as guests arrived.
